Only an hour's drive from Port Elizabeth you will find the beautiful Addo Elephant Park, home to the densest elephant population in the world.The original Elephant section of the park was proclaimed in 1931, when only eleven elephants remained in the area - today this finely tuned ecosystem is sanctuary to over 420 elephants, 450 Cape buffalo, black rhino, a variety of antelope species, as well as the unique flightless dung beetle, found almost exclusively in Addo. Lions and spotted hyena have also recently been introduced into the park as part of its ongoing conservation plansOnce in the reserve you will be taken on an approximately three hour game drive deep into the heart of the reserve.
